So... um... I screwed up last night. I'm fine. Everything's alright.

If I snapped at you when I came in, I'm really sorry. It was a bad time. I ended up being... accosted? That's a good word for it. Accosted by some men after my meeting with my manager. NOTHING HAPPENED. Nobody freak out. Like I said, I'm okay. Some crazy jerk in a mask showed up before I had a chance to work out some aggression. Didn't even have to lift a finger.

Guy was still a jerk, though.

So yeah, just... thought you all would like to know. On the upside, I fell asleep right after I got back to the mansion. Seems that all I need to get a good night's sleep is a life-threatening situation or two, haha <3 Best night of sleep I've had since I got here.

I'd lecture, but I've decided not to bother. If the world's tiniest ginger menace wants to go get herself accosted and then bitch about somebody helping her for real, considering she has no actual self-defense training and powers that would've made a really pretty light-show as she died, that's fine. Whatevs.

I mean, obviously, the concept of blowback isn't a thing she comprehends, right? 'A group of men' and 'a masked man' - who the hell was the masked man? We don't know. It's all a big game! Yay! Let's let a mysterious stranger scare off a group of assholes who're gonna attack girls in the city and then not tell anyone it happened so no one knows there might be a group of men following the girl back to the mansion full of mutants. That's an awesome idea.

and now Ms. Alison Blaire has learned that New York City is not safe alone, that insomnia is not a good reason to be reckless and has a possible cure for her insomnia which can be redirected into any number of fear or adrenaline heavy activities that do not involve mugging, violence or possible sexual assault and ending up in the tabloids.

Glad you're okay, but please be careful. It's not always safe for a girl your age to wander the city alone.

Trust me - I grew up there, and things have changed, but they haven't totally changed.
